Due to a number of requests, CRC is re-introducing its Authentic Hope Group for Men. Authentic Hope for Men is a group that helps men who have committed domestic violence and wish to stop. Candidates for this group are men who:
*Have past or present experiences of physical, verbal or emotional violence as victim and/or abuser,
*Struggle with issues of power and control,
*Have difficulty expressing anger appropriately,
*Have issues of low self-esteem,
*Wish to discover what it means to be a man in Christ,
*Feel alone in thier journey and need a safe place to share their struggles and
*Want to be safe and feel safe for their families.
The goals of the group include:
*Reduce incidences of family violence,
*Strengthen family structures,
*Encourage necessary steps toward physical, emotional an financial protection,
*Take action toward eliminating violence from abusive relationships,
*Assist the church in understanding of family violence and
*Provide Christ-centered support to facilitate spiritual healing
