Director of Restoration Project
Matthew is a Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist who sees clients in CRC’s Golden Valley location. He is trained in EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing) which is a powerful tool for helping people heal from their trauma. He also has experience working with DBT (Dialectical Behavioral Therapy) which provides clients with life skills to manage their emotions rather than letting emotions push them around, to live in the moment rather than ruminating on the past, and to increase their interpersonal effectiveness. He is experienced in working with adults who have experienced childhood neglect, emotional, physical, or sexual abuse, mood disorders, pre-marital counseling, marriage and family conflicts, parenting issues, couples counseling, chemical dependency, anger management and sexual addiction. Additionally, he works with clients who have committed sexual offenses. As Director of Restoration Project he oversees the implication of all therapeutic services related to the treatment of sex offenders. Matthew is an approved supervisor for the Minnesota Board of Marriage and Family and the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy.
