Samanntha Mouacheupo / Intern
Samanntha is a Hmong American intern, fluent in Hmong. She is in her last year of study to obtain her Marriage and Family Therapy degree from Bethel Seminary. She is being supervised by a licensed psychologist at Christian Recovery Counseling. Samanntha is a former elementary school teacher with 10 years of experience working with children and family. She sees clients in both CRC locations: Golden Valley and Rockford. She approaches her work with an emphasis from a family systems perspective, with the belief that family dynamics, culture, and family values have a strong impact on an individual’s mental health and wellbeing. When working with clients, she utilizes and draws from emotionally focused therapy, contextual therapy, cognitive behavioral therapy, narrative therapy, structural therapy and solution focused therapy. She is passionate in working with both children and adult who struggle with anxiety, depression, anger management, relationship issues, family issues, parenting issues, marriage issues and couples counseling. She is trained to help clients incorporate their faith and spirituality into their growth and healing journey.
